  • Position Summary

    American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL), a Sonic Healthcare Company, is a community-based leader in laboratory medicine dedicated to provide quality care, innovative solutions, and personal service.  AEL has serviced the medical community for more than 50 years with a strong community presence throughout the Mid-South encompassing Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee.  AEL has a far-reaching infrastructure including a 154-vehicle fleet tracking over 3,500 stops a day.  AEL is embedded within the communities servicing several Patient Service Centers (PSCs).

    American Esoteric Laboratories Inc, (AEL), is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Human Resources team.

     

    Position Summary

    The Human Resources Representative is responsible for managing the recruitment function of the Human Resources Department.

     

    Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities

    • Full Cycle Recruiting to include but not limited to:
      • Handling of vacancy notices and ensuring proper approval.
      • Creating job descriptions.
      • Sourcing candidates through job postings and job fairs.
      • Managing openings and candidates:
        • Processing applications/resumes.
        • Sending response letters.
        • Scheduling interviews.
        • Conducting initial interviews.
        • Generating salary quotes.
        • Performing reference and background checks.
        • Extending job offers.
        • Entering new hire information into the HRIS.
      • Managing applicant tracking system - iCims.
    • Scheduling and conducting new employee orientation as required.
    • Assisting with departmental events and projects such as benefit enrollment, company events and employee anniversaries.
    • Other projects and duties, as assigned. 

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    College degree preferred, proficient computer skills, data entry skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

     

    Experience

    Minimum of 1 year work experience in human resources.

     

    Licensure, Registration, Certification

    PHR preferred.

     

    Physical Requirements

    Work requires some physical effort. Lifting or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) is required.

     

    Environmental Conditions

    Work is performed under basically normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
