    American Esoteric Laboratories Inc, (AEL), is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Laboratory team.

     

     

    Position Summary:

     

    Provides patient billing/ customer service through use of the telephone and practice management software to increase revenues for AEL.  Under the general direction of the Manager/ Supervisor, responsible for all functions, 1 shift, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.  Incumbents are subject to overtime and call back as required by AEL.

     

    Principle Responsibilities:

     

    • Provide good quality customer service to patients.
    • Greet and collect insurance information from walk- in patients
    • Answer the phones and assist patients with inquiries.
    • Accept patient payments on AEL accounts.
    • Completes initial drug screen billing.
    • Administer Phlebotomy duties.

    Knowledge/Education: 

     

    High School Diploma or its equivalent.  Computer skills required.   Use general office equipment.

     

    Experience:

     

    Six months customer service experience in collections or insurance processing, and 6 months phlebotomy experience.

     

    Licensure, Registration, Certification:

     

    None 

      

     

    Physical Requirements:

     

    Work requires little or no physical effort.  Lifting or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) is intermittent (not a routine part of the job) and secondary to the job.

     

     

    Environmental Conditions:

     

    Work is performed under basically normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
